So yesterday, while Christmas shopping, I stumbled across something that blew my mind! I always stick up for big branded designers, saying that you pay for what you get because the quality is great. Though I still disagree with paying a fortune for something that's mass produced and the mark up is sitting at 500% (or more in some cases!) but I'm not going to talk about cheap fast fashion high street stores- that's a whole other blog! What I am talking about or who should i say (though I will not name them) is a high quality bag brand. I was in House of Fraser and as I walked through the bag department something rather glittery caught my eye. To my amazement I notice a small bowling bag made from the exact same fabric I use to make the 'Have It Your Way!' bags. I went over to have a closer look and there was no doubting that it was the same fabric as they also had umpteen clutches in different colours! The clutches were smaller than the 'Have It Your Way!' large clutch, but looked so similar. Now if I'm being exact this other imposter clutch was lined in a soft leather (but to my knowledge- as I used to be a designer for a bag company) the soft leather isn't half as expensive as bridal (the thick stuff that proper leather bags are made from!)
So ladies and gents- I think you can tell what I'm getting at here. The shop assistant came over and asked if I needed any help, so I asked how much. The clutches are £350 and the bowling bag is £595 she told me. I almost fell over!
Now maybe I am missing something major, but HELLO!!!! For those of to more interested- go into Fraser's and check them out- you can't actually miss them!
Get a 'Have It Your Way!' bag, small is £16 and large is £22. I'll even do it with leather lining if you want- there might be a £300 fee for that though(KIDDING!)
But seriously, get them now before these bad boys get a price tag bump up!!
